Racic: “We are looking forward to the first game, with our fans present”

Uros Racic speaks for everybody when he says that he is raring to get the new LaLiga season underway. It kicks off at Mestalla on Friday, and before the game against Getafe the midfielder checked in with VCF Media.
LaLiga's big kick-off
“The moment that we have all been waiting for has arrived, after a month of working very hard. We have worked very hard on our fitness, and I think we are ready to get going on Friday. We are really looking forward to it, we can’t wait, and we are ready to get a victory in the first game.”

The opening game against Getafe
“Getafe are tough opponents who we know well. Our coach was there before and we know how they played under him, so I’m sure that they want to continue at the same level as before. Now we have Bordalás in charge, and I think we can achieve more than them now. The most important thing is to start out with a victory in the first match.”
Mestalla being a ‘twelfth man’
“We are really looking forward to playing the first game at home with 15,000 people present and want to win in front of our fans. We have had fans in attendance at the last few games, and our fans are very good for us: There is a great atmosphere, and they are sure to be our 12th man.”
Ready to compete
“After suffering with the injury, I feel good. It’s a pity that I have missed the last few games, but now I feel very well. I trained very hard last week, and I think I am like the rest of the team: One hundred percent ready to play on Friday. I want to thank the fans for their confidence in me.”
Hunger and excitement under Bordalás
“We talk every day, and we all want to change many things. We are sure to improve and have a good year. When a new coach comes in, he has his objectives and tells us what we can improve, then we talk to each other and every day we manage to get better at what he wants, in order to achieve good results. We are very hungry to win not only the first game, but also many more, so that we can be where we deserve.”
